impetusFinance was created by Tony Edwards during 2007. Tony has over 15 years experience of supporting small and medium sized enterprises and a further 10 in senior Finance roles with blue chip companies. After qualifying with KPMG in 1991, engagements have been in the UK, across Europe, the US and Bermuda.

Tony created impetusFinance in order to provide businesses with the financial support that they need to maximise profits. He is an experienced financial trouble-shooter with a commercial outlook, and has the drive, enthusiasm and initiative to help your business.

Through ongoing part time Finance Director roles, Tony has helped raised over £2m during the past two years, through a mix of bank finance, grants, and private equity investments. Support has also been provided to drive organic growth, resulting in the creation of new business vehicles, both in the UK and overseas, and growth through acquisition of an overseas subsidiary.

Tony is passionate about business, is a Fellow of the Institute of Charted Accountants (FCA), and knows what he doesn't know about tax after qualifying as a Chartered Tax Advisor in 1996!
